The silhouette references the atlatl spear-throwing device, while the cone is shaped after an obsidian-bladed sacrificial knife finished with a hammer texture. Turquoise and carmine lacquer inlays echo the colours of the royal cloak, and the handcrafted solid Au 750 gold nib carries an engraving of the Aztec glyph for Tenochtitlán.
